LG GW620:-
The latter confirms that the GW620 will be a dualband UMTS (900/2100) quadband GSM device, with both WiFi and Bluetooth, measuring 109 x 54.5 x 15.9 mm and tipping the scales at 139g.  It has either 2GB or 4GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot, and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash.
The touchscreen is a 3-inch HVGA resistive panel, while the OS is Android 1.5 Cupcake with LG’s own S-Class UI on top.  There’ll also be LG’s “SNS Manager” (Social Networking Service) which ties Facebook, Twitter and other networks into the Contacts app, together with facial recognition that automatically spots people in photos and links those shots to the individual’s Contact entry.  LG have previously said that the GW620 will arrive in “select European markets” before the end of 2009.

Devices like the iPhone and HTC Hero have proved that onscreen keyboards are just as fast to type on and easy to use as physical keyboards, but some people simply prefer the tactile feel of a proper keyboard. What's more, keypads/numpads are simply not up to snuff if you do a lot of texting or emailing. The problem is, phones that feature a proper keyboard tend to be expensive smartphones of the Blackberry or Windows Mobile ilk. LG, however, is hoping to offer a compelling middle ground with the GW520.

The GW520 is a higher end version of LG's other current low cost slideout keyboard phone, the KS360, but it has a few key extras including 3G support and a larger screen. However, this has resulted in a significant price hike. Where the KS360 is available for just £60 on Pay-As-You-Go, the GW520 costs £129. This is by no means extortionate but neither is it completely bargain basement. Of course, the big question is does it justify the extra cost? Well, let's take a look.

Named, we assume, after the French impressionist, this latest touchscreen from LG is slick and sturdy, but a bit utilitarian in its design to be called a work of art. Its body is formed mostly from plastic with curved reflective metal edges. The centre piece is a 3-inch 240x400-pixel resolution touchscreen display, which we've found sharp and colorful and extremely easy to use. 
Above the screen we find a front-facing camera for video calls and below the display are three soft-keys for calling and accessing application shortcuts. Along the right-side edge of the Renoir are four keys, a volume rocker, a dedicated camera key and a handset lock.
